Prevention Targets
PPWR prevention targets are designed to reverse the steady
rise in packaging waste and drive upstream reduction, reuse,
and more efficient packaging design. This brings stricter
packaging minimisation rules and market bans for
problematic single-use formats.
Under the PPWR, Prevention Targets require Member States
to cut packaging waste by:

no longer be allowed on the EU market:
